Most schools all over the world are just only the places where children and adults can only learn something good. It means all those schools rarely make the things children have learnt useful. As we know, the tasks of the schools are to give training, methods, knowledge, and wisdom to students. All the schools have to make all of them useful in the real world. But a few schools can have done like this. Interestingly, our school, namely the New Blood Center, is one of these few schools.
There are many reasons why I write like this. I also wish I could write all of the reasons. Nevertheless, I just want to mention a thing that is so obvious. That is farming. Farming!!! While I write like this, some people may think, “ Is there any connection between school and farming? The writer is kidding me! “. Don’t think like this. Let me show you.
There are two farms that New Blood School has been working on since many years. We grow many things with the efforts of many students and teachers every year. So, the students become to know the way to plant. They not only work hard on the farms but also learn how to grow the plants systematically on their own. In other words, they acquire valuable experience in growing plants. As a saying goes,” Knowledge is power if you use it.”, the students use the technique they have learnt from the farms in the school. They grow plants in the space behind the boarding-house. Just guess how they grow plants. Yes, by using the method they have got during farming. Although they are not skillful planters, they grow as possible as they can. It takes a few weeks to become a nice and beautiful plant. They water their plants every day. They plow the land. They care for their plants not to be damaged. After all the efforts, the new beautiful small plants can stand as shown in the picture. They are ready to eat elation obtained from growing plants. I am really proud of them.
What I really mean is if a school provides just only knowledge without practicing, we cannot say it to a school. A school must produce not only an educated person but also the one who can work in reality. Our school proves this. The last thing I want to say is that all the facts I have mentioned make our school very different from many other schools.
